image from www.jillsstampingcorner.comDo you know how National Ice Cream Day came about?  Well we have to thank President Ronald Reagan, who in 1984 proclaimed July to be National Ice Cream Month.  President Reagan also designated that the third Sunday of July would be National Ice Cream Day.

In 2010, total revenues in the U.S. ice cream industry generated $10 billion with the largest portion of that being take-home sales.  That is a lot of ice cream.  I know that we helped the ice cream industry this past year.  Click the link to learn more about the History of Ice Cream.

If I had to pick one ice cream flavor as my favorite, the child in me would have to say that my favoriate ice cream would be Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.  However, with there being so many different ice cream flavors out there it really depends on what I am in the mood to eat and what time of year it is.

So in honor of National Ice Cream Day, I made this cute Celebrate card.  I hope that you take a little time out of your busy schedule today and sit down with a bowl of ice cream, or an ice cream cone, or your favoriate way to eat it, to celebrate and have a little of your favorite ice cream.

Thanks for stopping by Jill's Stamping Corner (JSC),
