What a cute Happy Birthday card, and what a fun story behind it. However, I first thank Julia Gibson for sharing her creation with us. This is so appropriate for Julia…she does lives in Texas, and the Bluebonnet is the Texas flower…and we all know that there are a lot of boots in Texas too. Here is what Julia says about her card.
"Dear Stampin Sisters, Holly's birthday is later this month and since we are going to take her shopping for a new pair of boots, I thought I would make a card following that theme. I use a new technique on it and thought I would share it with you. This is a way to make a card look like you did layers, but you don't use up card stock to get the same look. I used two sticky notes on the center of the card and then used a cosmetic sponge with Chocolate Chip ink to make a frame. Peeled off the sticky notes and stamped the boot and bluebonnets in the center. Colored with markers and punched out the pieces for the happy birthday. On the inside I typed in brown ink, printed, and cut out the saying…Have a Boot-scooting Bluebonnet Birthday!!"
Here is the envelope that Julia made to go with Holly's Birthday card. Again, Julia, thank you so much for sharing your cute card, and you did a great job.
