Birth Announcement – Today in History…IBM and the First PC

On August 12, 1981 IBM announced the birth of their first PC. Can you imagine what life would be like if IBM did not release their Personal Computer? You would most likely not even see this post, and I would not be posting this to my blog.  We count on technology so much, that much these days we don't even think about…it is just a standard part of our lives. If you would like to see the Press Release from IBM on the release click here.

IBM's press release inspired this post today.  As you may already know, earlier this month Stampin' Up! release the new My Digital Studio 2. If you have not already checked out MDS2 click here. You can try MDS2 for FREE for 30 days. Also, you can quickly build your MDS applications with the current special this month 31 for 31 (31 different digital downloads for 31 days) that is running through August 31st.

image from image from www.jillsstampingcorner.comI am sharing two scrapbook pages today that I created in MDS. This first page is one of the many template that Stampin' Up! and MDS has that we can choose.

This is a 12 x 12 scrapbook page. In the Chocolate Chip area you would be able to put pictures of your cute baby girl. This is just one page in a set of pages that may be used to create a total book.

To show you just a little of what you would be able to do with MDS, I used this same page that I put my own twist to create my own page that could be used for either a girl or a boy.

As you can see, I changed the Chocolate Chip layered background to Whisper White. I moved the square with the circle and changed the circle paper along with changing the bow to a knot. I added another square with the star punch. I also changed the background paper behind "baby" and removed the flower punch, and then added two additional buttons. On the bottom-left corner i removed the "girl" stamp and replaced it with another layered square with the ducks.  The blank white areas could be used to pictures of a cute baby boy.

Once you get used to have MDS works and you have had time to play around with the application, taking the original template and changing it to my page that I created would only take about 5 minutes to do.  Pictures can easily be uploaded into MDS, cropped if necessary, and inserted into the blank area.

Again, if you have not experienced MDS, I invite you to download it for FREE and play with it for 30 days. There is no obligation to buy, but once you try it you will love it.

Thanks for stopping at Jill's Stamping Corner (JSC),
