Colds, Flu and no UDI Sketch Challenge.

I am sad today because I did not have the time or energy to participate in today's UDI Sketch Challenge.  But I will be back next week for the new challenge.  Please read to the bottom, I have a question for you.

Some of you may know that I work at Florida State University and yes I do have to deal with students.  Much of the time is over the phone but there are times that I have to help them in person.  I always hate this time of year when many of the students come back to campus bringing a little extra with them…colds, flu, whatever they have picked up from being home for the holidays.

Well, this time it was not the students, they don't get back until next week.  I have been nursing my husband all week who has a nasty cold…well guess what…it finally got me.  Yes, I have the dreded Winter-time cold.  But I don't have time for this nasty cold.

I had to contact my sweet ladies at Westminster Oaks Retirement Community to postpone our monthly paper crafting class tomorrow, because I DON'T want to take any chance at all getting them sick.  And I have Stampin' Up! Leadership to attend starting on Thursday! NO, NO, NO, I don't have time to be sick.

So I have been trying to rest, while taking care of my husband and our five 4-legged children, and myself. Trying to get a little done around the house, you know those regular weekend chores…laundry, cleaning, etc. But I added a trip to the drug store for more cold medicine and to the liquar store. No I am not much of a drinker, but when I have the flu or a cold for some reason a Hot Toddy does seem to help.  I don't know why, but it does.

So I hope that you stay well! Keep washing your hands, covering your mouth when you cough or sneeze, get plenty of rest, and stay warm.

QUESTION:  When you get a cold or flu, what do you do to get better?  Leave your answers in the comments section below.
