Happy 30th Birthday and Gift Certificate

I thought that I would play along with the UDI Sketch Challenge today.  Here is today's sketch.

One of our nieces turned 30 this week. So I used today's sketch challenge to create her birthday card.  She LOVES pink, so of course I had to create a card using pinks.  Here is here card.

image from www.jillsstampingcorner.comI you have been around Stampin' Up! for a while, you might notice that most of this card was created from retired Stampin' Up! items. Even though, I had a lot of fun making this card…it is PINK! I actually really love working on a card like this, meaning our niece will not care one little bit that I used retired items, and I get to use up more of my retired left-overs.

I used the retired Pink Passion card stock and retired designer series paper, as well as the retired Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon. The Happy Birthday was stamped using the retired Pink Passion Stampin' Write Marker, and I used the retired small tag punch for the first tag.  I used the current tag for the second Whisper White tag.  I used a couple of retired pop-up glue dots  to add a little height to the tag. Not shown in this picture, I used the Pink Passion Stampin' Write Marker to put a big "30" on each side of the Happy Birthday…that was a total after thought. I also made her a gift certificate inviting her and her family over for dinner to celebrate her birthday.  Here is the gift certificate.

image from www.jillsstampingcorner.comAgain, I used the retired Pink Passion card stock along with some of the same retired designer seriers paper and ribbon.  I used the Inviting stamps set and used retired Pixie Pink Stampin' Pad for the Who, What, When, Where, and used retired Pink Passion Stampin' Pad for the Let's Celebrate. The writing is in retired Pink Passion Stampin' Write Marker.

So we will wait to hear from her as to when the birthday dinner will be.  And she will get to choose what she want to each.

Cute card, Jill! Thanks for playing along with the sketch challenge this week. Retired product is fabulous for anything but a current class!
