Happy Labor Day! For those of you, like me, that had the day off from work I hope you had a fun and safe holiday. I did a little house work, but I was able to spend a lot of time in my stamping room today, which turned out to be a very productive day. It makes me happy to have the opportunity to spend a block of uninterruped time stamping and getting some of my projects complete or to mark items off my To-do list. Today was one of those days!
I made some holiday cards from the left-over from my August 2012 Westminster Oaks card class. I always cut a few extra sets because I never know if I will have an extra person or two show up to the class that did not sign up.
I made a couple of Happy Holiday cards which are the cards with the holly leaves. I used the retired stamp sets Bold Basics and All Year Cheer II. Card stock that was used is Whisper White, Always Artichoke, and Brovo Burgundy. The ink used on these cards were Always Artichoke and Brovo Burgundy Classic Stampin' Pad.
The other cards could be used for Thanksgiving. I now have Holiday Greetings, Thanks so Much, and Thinking of You. For all of these cards I used Very Vanilla, So Saaffron, Chocolate Chip, and Cajun Craze card stock, and used So Saffron, Cajun Craze, and Always Artichoke Classic Stampin' Pad. On two of the cards I used Lovely As a Tree, and the others I used the retired stamp sets Fall Whimsy and Sincere Salutations. On four of the cards I also added some Always Artichoke 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon (retired).
I was also able to work on some projects that I will be posting later this month. I am excited to say that I am now the coordinator for the UDI Inspiration Challenge, which is an online group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators (and many of the Stamp to the MAX team – my upline group) that will be posted on Thursdays. I also decided that I would participate in the UDI Color Challenge that will be posted on Tuesdays.
The first Inspiratin Challenge will be this Thursday, September 6, 2012, and the first Color Challenge will be next Tuesday, September 11, 2012. So stop back by on those days to see my creations.
Thanks for stopping at Jill's Stamping Corner (JSC),
