Importance of sending cards to people.

Trying to get through the day to day things without Ken in my life has really been tough the past 10 weeks. I still have numerous “Thank You” cards that I need to send out. I was speaking to a dear and wonderful friend this last week and we were talking about the thank you cards that I need to do and about this importance of just sending out cards.

It is so easy to pick up the phone, send an email, send a text, IM through Facebook or other platforms, but it means SO MUCH MORE to send a card. One, it shows the receiver of the card that YOU took the time to create something for them. Two, it will give the receiver a special feeling of receiving something in the mail. Three, think about how good you will feeling knowing that your send a card to someone letting them know YOU were thinking about THEM!

Here is a card that I recently made adding to my stack of “Thank You” cards that I need to take/make the time to send out.

I have had so many people ask me what they could do for me to help me through this. Well I have something that YOU can do.

Think about all the people in your life. Do any of them have a birthday coming up? Have any of them just had a child? Have any of them had a loss in their life? Or maybe it is just someone that you have had on your mind recently.

I CHALLENGE YOU to send them a card! Even if it is just a quick little “thinking about you” card. It will make you feel good for sending it, and it will make them feel good for receiving it.

If you take me up on this challenge, please leave a comment below on what you did, and how many cards you sent out.

  1. Thank you so much Conni for your comment. I know it made Jenny feel very special.

Hi sweet Jill! Jenny’s birthday was last week, and we sent her a box with a few little gifts, and each of us added our own birthday card to her with a handwritten note. I agree that getting a card in the mail with a note inside is very special!
