Stamp-A-Stack Class

On Sunday, April 27th I held a Stamp-A-Stack at the Turtle Island Trading Post located at 1707 North Monroe Street in Tallahassee, Florida.  I thought that I would share what we did at this camp.

Sas_samples_3These are the original samples that I came up with for everyone to follow, but normally, my group wants to bring out their own creative side.

Stam_camp_bw_2So you never know what variations will come out.  As you can see, many different card ideas can come from one card.

Stamp-A-Stack Class

On Sunday, April 27, 2008, I held a Stamp-A-Stack at the Turtle Island Trading Post located at 1707 North Monroe Street in Tallahassee, Florida.  I thought that I would share what we did at this camp.

image from www.jillsstampingcorner.comThis first picture are the original samples that I came up with for everyone to follow, but normally, my group wants to bring out their own creative side. And that is what is so great about stamping.  I provide a sample and they can recreate the cards as I have provided or they can come up with their own twist.

image from www.jillsstampingcorner.comSo you never know what variations will come out.  As you can see, many different card ideas can come from one card sample.

And how easy is it to change a Happy Mother's Day card to a Happy Birthday Card, or a Thank You or even a Thinking of You.  If you like these samples, watch my calendar for the next Stamp-A-Stack.

Try a crisscross card.  It can be used as a greeting card or you could use it as an invitation.  Jill4

I had all the ladies at Julia’s workshop in Tallahassee make this card.  It took us a little while to make it, but it was a lot of fun.  I wish that I had a picture of everyone’s finished cards, because they added their own little creative idea.

Do you need a gift idea?

I recently did this 5″ X 7″ post-it note holder for a swap that I was participating in with some of my online stamping friends.  It was very quick and easy to do.  Occasionally, I will do something like this in a stamp camp.  If you would like to learn how to do something like this and would like to know information on when the next Stamp Camp is scheduled, e-mail me or sign up for my newsletters.

Brew & Bean Coffee Company?

Brew_beanYou might ask, what does the Brew & Bean Coffee Company have to do with stamping?

Well, I let me tell you it has everything to do with my stamping business.  Living in Cairo, Georgia, which is approximately 40 miles North of Tallahassee, Florida, makes it a little difficult for all my stamping friends that live in Tallahassee and the surrounding areas to attend my stamping events.

As I was driving down West Pensacola Street on my way to work (at FSU) one day, I spotted the Brew & Bean Coffee Company…I just had to stop and get a cup of coffee and check the place out.  While I was there I saw their flier about reserving your holiday party. Hummm, I thought, what a great location to hold my stamping events.  In December, I held my Retirement List “Santa Tea” Party here and we had a little coffee, a few cookies, and a whole lot of fun.  I think Santa would have enjoyed these cookies, and may have enjoyed a little stamping too.

Coffee_cookies_4The coffee and cookies gave us the energy that we needed to help us make our stamping and craft projects.  The first project we worked on was making bows from the SU! Designer Series Paper.

Bow_2

Making_bow_2                    After having fun making our bows, we pulled out some elf dust and transformed an envelope into a bag-a-lope using the Holiday Tag Team retiring stamp set, and brought a little snow to Tallahassee.

Bagalope_2

Wrapping_up_card

We ended our day with a little glitz making a card using the SU! Holiday Glitz Promotion.
