Today is Patriot Day – Rememberance of 9-11/And UDI Color Challenge 101

Today is Patriot day.  If you missed my post on September 6, 2012 for the UDI Inspiration Challenge, it was my tribute to today.  I created a card with the same colors that will be used in today's UDI Color Challenge.  So take a quick view at that post and come back to this post.

image from www.jillsstampingcorner.comI decided to participate in the UDI Color Challenge again. Every Tuesday is Color Challenge day and today is 101.  Here are the colors that Elizabeth pick out for this weeks challenge UDI Color Challenge 101. If you want to see what the other Divas have created this week, click here to visit the UDI blog.
I hope you join in the fun of the Color Challenge, and that it gives you some great ideas for color combinations and some wonderful samples.  If you would like a card or project that you create from this challenge to be featured on Jill's Stamping Corner, email me at sujill@jillstangelostamps.com.  Now on to my creation.

image from www.jillsstampingcorner.comI had fun creating this Christmas card…what great colors to use. The two stamps sets that I used for this card are Delightful Decorations and Loving Thoughts.  My base card is Midnight Muse card stock. I used VersaMark Pad and stamped the snow flakes, then sprinkled white embossing power over the snow flakes and then used the heat tool to emboss them. My next step was stamping the Joy ornament on whisper white cards stock using the Raspberry Ripple Classic Stampin' Pad. I layed it on a piece of Midnight Muse and then on a piece of Raspberry Ripple.  After that I stamped Thoughts of You on a piece of Whisper White using the Midnight Muse Classic Stampin' Pad, and layer it on a piece of Raspberry Ripple.  I used SNAIL adhesive to glue both the Joy ornament and Thoughts of You to my base card. I am using a Whisper White envelope and stamped a Raspberry Ripple Joy ornament on the front bottom-left corner.

I think I might make more of these cards, but to change out the ornament…but stay with the same color.

Thanks for stopping at Jill's Stamping Corner (JSC),
