Punchy Techniques

We got punchy yesterday at my technique class.  What do you do at a technique class?

Technique Class

Of course, have a lot of fun and enjoy friends.  Let's see what else is going on…Julia is starting her wish list after being shown how to do the first technique.  Tawni is working on her sample of the technique.  Terri has finished her sample and is putting it on her 6×6 technique reference card.

At this month's technique class we worked on 3 different techniques using various Stampin' Up! punches.  I love the punches.

Ribbon Flower

The first technique that we did was a ribbon flower.  For the sample on my 6×6 reference card I used real red card stock, 1/8" hand-held punch, 1/16" hand-held punch, very vanilla taffeta ribbon, and a rhinestone brad.  I learned how to do this flower from a tutorial made by Jennifer Thomas, one of my UDI Sisters.  You can see the full tutorial by clicking on the link.

Since Stampin' Up! has the great Fresh Cut Sneak Peek special going, we used the Fresh Cut stamp set and Note Cards for a cards.

Stamp Set:  Fresh Cut

Card Stock:  Sage Shadow, Lovely Lilac

Ink:  Sage Shadow, Lovely Lilac

Accessories:  Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, 5-Petal Punch, Scallop Punch, Rhinestone Brad.

5-Petal Punch

The second technique that we did was a 5-Petal Daisy that was created by Judi Harvey, who is also one of my UDI Sisters.  You can see Judi's 5-Petal tutorial by clicking the link.  The card at the bottom of her tutorial is the card that she sent me for my birthday.

I just receive my One of a Kind stamp set and HAD to play with it.  I also think this set goes well with this technique.

Stamp Set:  One of a Kind

Card Stock:  East Coast Prep Designer Series Paper, Whisper White

Ink:  Tempting Turquoise, More Mustard, Real Read

Accessories:  5-Petal Punch, Boho Punch, Tempting Turquoise Brad

The last technique that we did, which I just love, is the Punchy Purse.  Again, Judi Harvey help me out here.  To see the card that inspired me click here. Punchy Purse

Items used to make the samples were…
