Remembering 9/11

image from www.jillsstampingcorner.comToday is going to be a two post day.  If you saw my first post, I mentioned for you to go see my post on 9/6/12 if you missed it.  That was my true tribute for today.  But I have been thinking about that day all morning.

Remembering 9/11 could have been so different for my family.

I know that 9/11 affected the majority of us in a very powerful way…sadness, disbelief, anger, horror…just to name a few.  So many lives lost, not only the people that were going through their daily routines of working, but after the attack, those that went in to try to save lives.

Yes, this could have been a different day for my family.  One of my uncles had a meeting schedule during the morning at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, but at the last minute, he cancelled his trip to New York because my aunt, who was going on this trip with him, was not feeling well.

So I will ALWAYS remember this day – 9/11!  As an update to my 9/6/12 post, I have found a fire station in New York that I am going to send my card, in hopes that it will bring some comfort, encouragement, thanks, and remembrance to those that were affected most closely.

My thoughts and prayers are with those…

…that lost family members, friends, co-workers,

…that need encouragement to keep going (those that might be thinking "why them, why not me",

…that keep protecting "US" on a daily basis (locally, nationally, and internationally),

…that put their lives out there on the line every single day, not even thinking twice about what they do, they just do it because it is their job!

…fire fighters, law enforcement, EMS, military!

If you like this post, please share it.  If you have something to share, please leave a comment.

Thanks again for stopping at Jill's Stamping Corner (JSC)…and "NEVER FORGET",

Very powerful post, Jill. Stirs many emotions inside of me. I will never forget 9/11 either, as many of us will not. America will never forget.
