For those of us that still purchase wood mounted stamps, do you ever have the problem of sticky scissors? Recently, I was mounting a new stamps set and realized it had been a little while since the last time that I cleaned my rubber scissors. I try to clean them as soon as I get finished with a sticky projects (such as trimming and mounting a new stamp set).
Goo Gone works great on a pair of sticky scissors. To clean my scissors I use just a little Goo Gone on a Kleenex, paper towel, or cotton ball and rub the scissor blades on both sides. When all the sticky goo is gone, I get a clean Kleenex, paper towel, or towel and wipe all the excess Goo Gone off. I make sure that all the excess is gone before I use my scissors again. Don’t want any Goo Gone getting all over my projects or stamps.
If you are like me and you don’t always use scrap paper or grid paper when working on a project, I sometimes get adhesive on my work area. Again, I use just a little Goo Gone to remove the adhesive and wipe clear the area.
So next time you have a sticky problem, reach for the “Goo Gone” and your sticky problem will be gone in a goo…wiped away.
