Trash to Treasures – Quaker Chewy Dipps Box to Gift Card Box

Have you every really noticed what you put in your trash can or your recycle bin? While doing some cleaning recently I started to notice the items that went in our trash can or recycle bin and it got me thinking. Even though we do recycle, what about recycling in a different way.

So here is my first Trash to Treasure item that I am going to share with you. I took an empty Quaker Chewy Dipps box and created a cute gift card box. I used Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper to cover the box both outside and in. Added a little ribbin for and extra touch.

I challenge you to look at what is going in your trash can or recycle bin and think about what trash you can turn into treasures.

Thank you for stopping at the Corner,

Jill

  1. Julia, I did have fun playing with this and it really was not too hard. I opened the box carefully on 3 sides, and just measured, cut and glued. I am sure you can find I box that you can try this with. Have fun!

Jill, you are so clever! How did you get the paper down inside the box? That sounds really hard. Doesn’t it open from the top only? I do keep shoe boxes and cover them to store extra cards in, etc. Fun, fun, fun. 🙂
