UDI Color Challenge 103 – Happy Birthday!

image from www.jillsstampingcorner.comUDI Color Challenge Day! This week is Color Challenge 103. When I saw the colors that Elizabeth picke out for this week, they screamed "Happy Birthday" to me.  Here are this weeks colors.
If you don't know or have not noticed, Elizabeth has been using My Digital Studio to create our color sheets. So you might want to go back the past couple of weeks to see the shapes that she used, and watch in the coming weeks for some different shapes…fun!

Okay, let's look at my Happy Birthday Card.  As my base card I used Whisper White. The stamp set that I used for this card is the image from www.jillsstampingcorner.comCreate a Cupcake stamp set.  The colors used for this card are Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, and Daffodil Delight.
I used the candle stamp to stamp each color diagonally across the card. In between the candles I stamped "Happy Birthday" using each color but not allowing them to touch. Meaning, I used Tempting Turquoise between the Daffodil Delight candles and the Pumpkin Pie candles, the Melon Mambo between the Pumpkin Pie and Tempting Turquoise candles, used Pumpkin Pie between Daffodil Delight and Tempting Turquoise candles.  I am sure you get my point here.  I punched a 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Melon Mambo punch and used Stampin' Dimentionals and placed it on the center of the card.  I used the Cupcake Builder punch to create the cupcake in the center of the card.  The bottom of the cupcake is Tempting Turquoise and the top of the cupcake is Daffadil Delight.  The candle is Pumpkin Pie with a Daffodil Delight flame.   I used SNAIL adhesive on the bottom part of the cupcake and I used Stampin' Dimentionals on the top part of the cupcake.  I used SNAIL adhesive again on the candle and use a Stampin' Dimentional (trimmed) for the flame.
