UDI Inspiration Challenge #150 – Chief Osceola and Renegade

Today's post is UDI Inspiration Challenge #150.  Some of you may already know, my full-time "day" job is working in the Office of Student Financial image from www.jillsstampingcorner.comServices at Florida State University.  School is back in
full swing now, which means that football season has started too. This brings me to the photo that I picked out for this week's challenge…Chief Osceola and Renegade…which is our mascot. For those of you that do not know, we are the Seminoles or "NOLES" for short. At the beginning of the games Chief Osceola rides out on Renegade to the center of the field where there is a big Seminole head painted and throws his flaming spear in to the center…this is a Seminole tradition. Our school colors are Garnet & Gold.

The Tradition

From Seminole.com "Perhaps the most spectacular tradition in all of college football occurs in     Doak Campbell Stadium when a student portraying the famous Seminole Indian leader, Osceola,     charges down the field riding an Appaloosa horse named Renegade and plants a flaming spear at     midfield to begin every home game." I started with my base card as Naturals White card stock. I used Stampin' Write Markers to ink the tree.  The trunk and branches I used Early Espresso and used Cherry Cobbler on the leaves, and then stamped the image on Naturals White.  I did the same with Thinking of You…with Thinking inked with Cherry Cobbler and of You… inked with Early Espresso.  I layered this on Daffodil Delight, then on Cherry Cobbler, then on Early Espresso, and finally on the base card stock.
